چکیده
Objectives. The effects of Kluyveromyces marxianus on high-fat diet- (HFD-) induced kidney injury (KI) were explored. Methods. HFD-induced KI model was established using male C57BL/6 mice and treated with K. JLU-1016 acid-resistant (AR) strain JLU-1016A. Glucose tolerance evaluated via an oral glucose test (OGTT). measured Hematoxylin Eosin (H&E) staining terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) analysis. chemical indexes analyzed, including lipid profiles, inflammatory cytokines, creatinine. levels Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) or phospho-NF-κB p65 (Ser536) alpha inhibitor NF-κB (IκBα) qPCR Western blot. gut microbiota sequenced high-throughput sequencing. Results. HFD induction increased OGTT value, severity, oxidative stress, apoptotic rate, creatinine levels, the expression TLR4/NF-κB, (Ser536), IκBα deteriorated profiles ( P < 0.05 ) reduced abundance. treatment ameliorated metabolic disorders reversed these parameters id="M2"> ). Compared control, proportion Firmicutes but Bacteroidetes Lactobacillus. AR JLU-1016A treatments improved by reducing increasing Lactobacillus in id="M3"> 0.0001 Helicobacter has been identified many infectious diseases after inhibited treatments. exhibited better results possibly acid-tolerance properties to pass through acidic environment stomach. Conclusions. may have a beneficial effect improving inhibiting TLR4/NF-κB pathway activation.

Magnolia Extract (BL153) Ameliorates Kidney Damage in a High Fat Diet-Induced Obesity Mouse Model
Accumulating evidence demonstrated that obesity is a risk factor for renal structural and functional changes, leading to the end-stage renal disease which imposes a heavy economic burden on the community. However, no effective therapeutic method for obesity-associated kidney disease is available. In the present study, we explored the therapeutic potential of a magnolia extract (BL153) for treat...
متن کاملSesamin Ameliorates High-Fat Diet–Induced Dyslipidemia and Kidney Injury by Reducing Oxidative Stress
The study explored the protective effect of sesamin against lipid-induced renal injury and hyperlipidemia in a rat model. An animal model of hyperlipidemia was established in Sprague-Dawley rats. Fifty-five adult Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups. The control group was fed a standard diet, while the other four groups were fed a high-fat diet for 5 weeks to induce hyperlipidemia....
متن کاملExercise Prevents Weight Gain and Alters the Gut Microbiota in a Mouse Model of High Fat Diet-Induced Obesity
BACKGROUND Diet-induced obesity (DIO) is a significant health concern which has been linked to structural and functional changes in the gut microbiota. Exercise (Ex) is effective in preventing obesity, but whether Ex alters the gut microbiota during development with high fat (HF) feeding is unknown. OBJECTIVE Determine the effects of voluntary Ex on the gastrointestinal microbiota in LF-fed m...
متن کاملHigh-fat-diet-modulated Gut Microbiota Promotes Intestinal Carcinogenesis
Gut microbiota play a critical role in the development of intestinal cancer. Dietary changes cause dysbiosis of gut microbiota that mediates production of dietary factors triggering intestinal cancer. Genetic and dietary factors work in different combinatorial ways in initiation and progression of intestinal cancer, one of which is changes in gut microbiota. Recently, it has been found that hig...
متن کاملChitin Oligosaccharide Modulates Gut Microbiota and Attenuates High-Fat-Diet-Induced Metabolic Syndrome in Mice
Gut microbiota has been proved to be an indispensable link between nutrient excess and metabolic syndrome, and chitin oligosaccharide (NACOS) has displayed therapeutic effects on multiple diseases such as cancer and gastritis. In this study, we aim to confirm whether NACOS can ameliorate high-fat diet (HFD)-induced metabolic syndrome by rebuilding the structure of the gut microbiota community. ...
